Here at Better Baseball we manufacture top of the line equipment for all of your baseball/softball practice and training needs. Today we will be taking an indepth look at our Bullet Protective Screens. The Bullet Screen Series is the leader in protective screens for Baseball and Softball organizations. Our screens are built to last and withstand constant abuse of a high-volume training facility, high school or college program. Each screen is made from a one piece welded steel frame to ensure long lasting durability. Other screens that use small component parts as part of their design, create too many failure points which drastically reduce the screens lifespan. At every step of our design process, we prioritized strength and durability over everything else. Better Baseball has over-engineered the Bullet Screen Series to ensure longevity even in the toughest conditions. We use a double layer of #60 gauge nylon pillow case netting to give you ultimate protection from batted balls hit at the highest velocities. The 60 gauge netting is UV treated so it won’t fade or become brittle due to exposure from the sun. The padding is made from 1.5” high impact foam and covered with a heavy duty vinyl, and like our netting, the vinyl cover is UV treated. The cover will not fade, crack, or tear in any weather conditions. At Better Baseball we stand behind our products and all of our Bullet Screens are backed by the best Baseball screen warranty in the industry, a 5 year frame warranty no questions asked. Better Baseball is committed to ensuring that the facility owners, coaches, and players that use this Bullet Protective Screens are getting the most durable professional screens on the market.
Our flagship screen in our Bullet line up is The Bullet L Screen. A 7’x7’ protective L screen with 2 extra feet of hip protection. Every coach knows it’s always possible to catch a line drive up the middle right off the hip when throwing from behind a L-screen. That is why we offer you that extra 2’ of hip protection so that you can throw more relaxed and not worry about anything extending outside the protection of the screen.
For those coaches and players looking for a more portable option or a screen to be primarily used in a batting cage, then we would highly recommend the Bullet Jr Screen. he narrow, 5’ wide design is perfect for on-field batting practice or areas with limited space like batting cages or backyards. This screen was designed to find the perfect blend of durability and portability while maximizing protection.
Next we have the Bullet Front Toss which is a 7’x5’ screen designed specifically for front toss batting practice. The cutout was designed to be at perfect height for you to pull out that bucket seat, get cozy, and start tossing away. The cutout also ensures you have more protection than you would if you were tossing off the side of a straight screen. The Bullet Front Toss can also be used by fast pitch softball coaches or players when throwing BP. The cutout works perfectly for the lower arm action of softball pitchers.
The Bullet Combo is the perfect combination of the Bullet Jr and the Bullet Front Toss screens, which allows you to throw regular BP or flip it around and get some soft toss work in. This multi-use screen is perfect for baseball and softball teams and for indoor or outdoor use. It has the same cutout position as the Bullet Front Toss, which as previously mentioned is perfect for breaking out the bucket seat or for the lower arm angle of softball pitchers. You can’t go wrong with a screen that can do it all and better protect you than any other screen on the market.
For our next two screens we have the Bullet L W/OH and the Bullet Combo W/OH. W/OH meaning “with overhead” which is the added protective piece you can see at the top that makes these different from the Bullet L and the Bullet combo. All of our previous screens are designed for indoor and outdoor use, and while you can use these two outdoors too, they are specifically designed to protect you more in the cages. The overhead protector prevents balls from hitting the top of the cage and falling on your side of the screen. I couldn’t tell you how many times I have either hit a coach or been hit by balls that hit the top net and creep over the screen. The overhead piece comes off so no matter which way you are facing the screen you can take it off and put it back on the right way depending on who is pitching.
Our next two screens are specifically designed for softball batting practice. The first one is the Bullet Hole fast pitch screen which has a hole cutout at the perfect position for pitchers to be completely behind the screen when throwing BP. This screen is 7’x7’ and has the most coverage out of all the Bullet screens we manufacture. There is enough room for a coach to stand behind the screen while a player pitches to batters and both will remain safe from balls flying up the middle. This screen is perfect for indoor and outdoor batting practice, and for either fast-pitch or slow-pitch training.
The next screen we have for softball training is the Bullet Fast Pitch screen. This screen is 8’x4’ and comes with a built in overhead protector. This screen is perfect for indoor or outdoor batting practice for any age and skill level. Since this screen is skinnier than the others it works perfectly in a more narrow cage and gives you the overhead protection as previously talked about with our other screens.
As mentioned before all of our screens come standard with no padding, but at check-out you have the option to add padding and wheels. This is where you can choose from one of our eleven colors to add some style and more durability. At Better Baseball, we have been installing hitting facilities with Bullet screens for over 20 years so we know first-hand the kind of abuse these things can take during their lifetime. We are so confident that our Bullet Screens will stand the test of time that all of our screens come with a 2-year no questions asked warranty and also a 5-year warranty on the frame. We manufacture these screens to be a one-time purchase that will last your program beyond any other piece of equipment. If you’re in need of a screen or two, I hope this post has helped you decide which screen fits your needs the most and I encourage you to order one today.
